Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
a couple of weeks back at the rock (spec ops) i was using a mates jg g36k. mid game he borrowed it back for two seconds and it broke. when the gearbox was disassembled the piston head was jammed in the cylinder. all the metal teeth on the piston were in splinters and in turn the cylinder was wrecked, wasnt pretty at all. when the gearbox was first taken out is was like a maraca! lol

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
a kart m14 ebr
it was standing up in the kitchin and fell over...
this simple fall on to the kitchin floor broke the gun in half...
its worst becuase something so mundane as a gun sitting at home falling over manage to write off an entire aeg..

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
Aiming round a corner during a CQB skirmish a few months back, I lightly rested the barrel of my F2K against the wall to keep it steady whilst looking down the iron sights and presenting a minimal profile whilst keeping the corridor covered along with a team mate on the other side (we were in a T intersection).
Enemy contact starts advancing down the corridor and I lean out a little to adjust my aim at the contact, pull the trigger and hear *snap... thump* .. as the outer barrel of my F2K hits the floor.. bending the inner barrel in the process of its escape... I get the kill (since the gun still shot perfectly and the bend was only later noticable after putting the inner barrel on a flat surface), swore loudly, grabbed the outer barrel and headed off to the safe zone, still swearing, and returned 5 mins later with my Cyma Deagle AEP with a foregrip attached and used it as an SMG (got to love full auto AEPs) :P

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
Seen a few GBB meltdowns. The first was a guy with a glock. I watched him take aim and fire, everything went fine until his slide cycled forward and decided that it wasn't finished and flew completely off his gun. Apparently the little catches that release the top slide for stripping it down became stuck down and the gas just blew the slide straight off haha
The other one I saw was with a 1911, if I remember correctly it was a problem with the hammer but he didn't know this when he fired. I think the problem was the hammer not locking back so basically his pistol went into full auto and the guy pretty much s*** himself.

Not so much a malfunction, but at Free port last winter I did see someone skid and fall onto his gun and break it into several pieces.

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
My worst one was a couple years back in the safe zone at the fort. G36k on a single point sling at my side. Unknown to me stock pin had fallen out earlier in the day and the only thing keeping my gun in place is my holstered pistol. turn to talk to my team mate gun falls straight down where the carry handle hits the bench and shatters from a foot drop. up shot is the gun looked pretty good with out a stock and just the integral scope.

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
The other day mate was showing off his new gbb tm glock, and of course being tm the slide was plastic he was using propane i was getting kind of jealous as the range, accuracy and power was doing the same as my kwa glock which is full of upgrades
To cut a long story short he was using green gas on a day where the temperature was 27 degrees celcius, his slide cracked, flew off and smacked him across the bridge of his nose, there was so much blood lol good times

The worst i have personally encountered was when my old AGM M14 thought it was clever to start a fire inside of it. The melted stock was just an abomination. What had happened, is some doey git thought it would be a good idea to connect the wires on the wrong connectors. Sigh... some people never learn

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
I dont know how, but a while ago, a small chip of sharp metal sheared off from the front of the gearbox, and as I fired, it was shot down the barrel. The barrel was scratched all the way down (My poor poor prothemus) and the metal splinter flew a few feet and got stuck an inch into a tree. It probably would have killed someone.

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
When my JG M4's gearbox literally imploded! Guard will tell you this. The cylinder had a huge gouge in it that was a good mil or so deep. The piston stripped completely. The gears shattered. Needless to say Guard and me had to strip the entire gearbox down, clean it out completely, buy a new gearset, piston, cylinder and piston head. Only thing that was good was the electricals and the cylinder head.

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
From our position myself and another player could see 7/8 enemy players holed up in a building 50 metres or so away. Whilst he drew thier fire and attention from the front i managed to flank them and ambush them from the rear. But at the moment i burst through the back, drawing down on them, M4 in hand..... the mag release button flew off either side dropping my mag to the floor rendering me ammo less.... needless to say i got lite up like the fires of Babylon!! Ouch

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
Worst malfunction that happened to me was when I was playing at a local site with a group of my mates. At the time I was using a rented Famas and as I turned the corner and tried to fire I get a great big "CLACK," while I try and figure out whats happened, I get nailed XD. As I trudge back to respawn, I realise that the mag release was broken and the magazine had fallen out as I turned the corner. -_-'

I saw a guy who had gotten a bb jammed in his TM M14 Socom so he looked down the barrel (whilst wearing goggles) and that was when the gun unloaded and shot him in the face a few times. He didn't enjoy it.

Patrolling through the woods a TWA with a mate of mine. He stops and says 'can you smell smoke'.
'Yeh probably a smoke grenade'
He looks down and his masada was smoking. Gave him a nasty shock

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
last weekend i was in a building with my team mates in the room oposite covering the stairs to that building. all of a sudden i heard some intense fire coming from that room oposite me. i peer round to see a chap with a hire gun running round like a headless chicken with his gun (TM AK) stuck on full auto, it took my team mate telling him to remove his magazine to stop the bb's flying everywhere.... all in all very amusing.

yeah, my Glock 17 did that, so i sent it for repairs, got it kicked up to 305 fps, now the bugger double taps of its own accord due to insane amounts of gas upping the FPS.

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
What I saw a while back was not so much a weapon malfunction as a judgement malfunction. I was down at EAG and this guy beside me, behind a tree, leant round to take a shot...the bb hit the tree, rebounded and smacked him right on the bridge of the nose, which began to bleed...
A weapon malfunction I did see was at a little meet at mine. My mate's JG MP5A4 decided it would fire when it wanted and while we were having a break it decided to fire at my mate from point blank range, in the side of the chest. He was only wearing his vest at the time as well...

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
This isn't very bad, but was fairly amusing, though happened at home...
I picked up my gun, as to test out a different firing position or something, and the outer barrel came off while I shouldered it, and flew 10 feet across the room...
I had tightened it the night before.
This was probably due to the AWFUL design of the outer barrel, it's in Two Parts, the end part is held on to the main outer barrel, by the friction of two 2mm across screws. They don't work.
I am drilling 2 holes in it tomorrow... and going to get a one piece barrel...

well i was once borrowing a gun, L85, from one of my mates. everything was looking good untill i was shot at, so i started to run. then to my surprise i tripped on a rock or something, but as i fell i threw the gun away and then landed on it. at first i was like 'thats gunna be expensive!' BUT to my amazement i had fixed his charging handle and also fixed his hop up perfectly!
so, any problems with your airsoft gun let me fall on it :P

seconds later we test fired our guns and they both worked,weird.lol.
good fun , but something you don,t want in a fire fight.

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
My friend had a shotgun with a full stock (Can't remember the name) He was waiting behind a tree and a barricade for the opposing team to attack. He balanced his shotgun by the barricade and just joking around, threw his rubber knife at the barricade. On contact the knife hit the barricade and when he picked up his shotgun. The stock had broken completely off from the rest of the gun. He carried on playing seeing as it still worked he just had no stock.

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
The battery compartment off my AK has sprung off once or twice while making a mad dash! Once it came off and i fired, the blowback parts caused the spring and catch that hold the battery compartment release to spring off behind me! that was fun.
Another time recently I made a mad dash for some barrel, jumped, landed on a wet platform, and slammed my gun barrel first into the platform as I fell over. The front assembly of my gun fleww apart all over the place!

Re: Worst Gun Malfunction
I was borrowing a friend's L96 sniper rifle and using my home made ghillie nicely camoflaged in a field of ferns. I heard the two last enemies approach towards me calling out that they had won and how badly my team got owned. They were walking right besides me while I was lying there completely still in my ghillie, unspotted. The guys in the safespot told the lads right besides me that I was still going strong, and in that moment I pointed my sniper rifle towards one of them and shot without aiming, getting one down, one to go.
I reloaded the next shot and shot towards the last guy standing 10 feet away from me, only to hear the god damn rifle jam. I was about to get a marvelous double kill and seize the day, and then, it jams.
We agreed that my team won though, but it was still frustrating

Cant say it was much of a malfunction. I was using a buddies TM FAMAS. We were dug in at the trench system in Phoenix Airsoft, got hit. Walked off, much to my frustration I was called back to retrieve my magazine that had fallen out of the magwell. Again. And Again. And Again. This happened 7 times that day. It's a miracle I didn't lose any (:
